The main museum entrance is located on Trinity St.
Parking
There are five parking spaces in front of Texas Science & Natural History Museum available for visitors at a cost of $6 for two hours. If a space is available, you may park and then purchase a dashboard pass when you check in at the admissions desk.
If a space in front of the museum is not available, paid parking is available in San Jacinto Parking Garage next to the museum. The garage has entrances on San Jacinto Blvd. and on Trinity St. Paid parking is also available in other UT parking garages, and metered parking is available along Dean Keeton St. and along San Jacinto Blvd. on the south side of Dean Keeton. Parking is also available near the LBJ Library lot #40. Please note that the entry height for San Jacinto Garage is 6'11". The entry height for Manor Garage is 8'.
Museum members receive two hours of validated parking per visit at the San Jacinto Garage. If that garage is full, members can park at Manor Garage or 27th Street Garage and receive validation during their museum visit.
Because UT Austin is a busy campus with many different activities and events, we recommend exploring several parking or public transportation options as you plan your museum visit.
Due to traffic and parking constraints on campus on Gamedays, the museum will be closed to the public on the days on which the Longhorns have a game at the Darrell K Royal Texas Memorial Stadium. See Longhorns football schedule.
