Texas Titans

Meet two Texas Titans that dominated West Texas 67 million years ago!

A 33-foot cast replica of a complete tyrannosaur skeleton, the only one of its kind in Central Texas, greets you with a toothy grin and the chance to learn about its life. It joins Quetzalcoatlus northropi, a pterosaur with a 33-foot wingspan and the largest flying creature to ever live. Both life-sized skeletal reconstructions are based on fossils found in Big Bend National Park by former UT graduate student Doug Lawson. Colorful murals show science-informed artistic renditions of what these animals may have looked like when they were alive.
