Join Texas Science & Natural History Museum on Wed., Sept. 24 from 6 to 8 p.m. for a free public program with bat conservation expert Dr. Karin Akre. Explore the remarkable diversity of bats, the vital roles they play in ecosystems around the world and the major threats facing bat populations today.

Through a series of real-world case studies from Bat Conservation International, Dr. Akre will share how conservation strategies—from habitat protection and research to community engagement—are helping protect bats and support healthier ecosystems for people and wildlife alike.

The evening includes a Q&A and light reception. A reservation is required. Museum members will receive early registration access via email. Additional registration details will be added at a later date.
